Care instructions
S.T. Dupont’s writing instruments are crafted by our artisans with the utmost care.
We recommend following these care tips to maintain their shine and performance over time:
•
Clean all surfaces with a soft cloth. Do not use solvent-based products.
•
For silver-coated surfaces, use a silver polishing cloth, which can be found in specialist shops. • Silver is a precious material that may show signs of oxidation over time. This natural process can be heightened if your pen remains in prolonged contact with leather or rubber.
•
We recommend using S.T. Dupont cartridges for fountain pens. Regularly clean the nib feed. Use the piston converter to flush the capillary filling system with cold water, repeating the process until the water comes out clean. To avoid potential leakage during air travel, place a new cartridge or full converter in the pen and store the nib upward.
