Story

Ligne D, launched in 1985, is a line which better suits a feminine target because of its lighter weight and thinner size. It is adorned with original and colorful decorations.

Know-How

Japanese lacquer decoration technique. After a long and meticulous process, the shiny and silky pattern of the Maki-e appears. It is impossible for it to be reproduced industrially. A first sketch is drawn on transparent paper. The drawing is then transferred to the chosen surface, drawn with a coloured lacquer. It will finally be sprinkled with gold using a bamboo tube, then dried in a wet cedar box. Ten coats of lacquer are required before polishing the decoration using magnolia, camellia and nettle charcoal.
